Aquaponics 4 You Review

I have been interested in Aquaponics ever since I had read about it years ago.  I never really got into it right away because of the cold weather we have here in Iowa and really wanted to build a Greenhouse so I could run my system year round.   I decided to go ahead and build my first system and was looking for guides or plans to help me.

The first Plans I found were online and the name of the product was Aquaponics 4 you.  I had heard good things about the program, so I gave it look, here is my Aquaponics 4 You Review.

Aquaponics 4 you is a simple Pdf download and video.  The pdf is 62 pages and starts out talking about how easy it is to get started and that you have made a great decision.  The book was written by John Fay, he claims to be a certified organic farmer and aquaponics expert.   You can read all that information on the sales page.

Aquaponics 4 You

The book talks about how to set up your first system, options where you can set up and what size system you might want based on the amount of space you have.  It talks about starting small and if the system works for you, you may want to go bigger.

Here is a list of what is covered in the book:

Hydroponics and Aquaculture– Talks about how the fish and plants create a great eco system that produces on a much higher level than fish or plants alone.

Location-Where is the best place to put your aquaponic setup.

What type of food you plan to grow will dictate the size of your system.

And the fish you will be using.

This may sound easy and for the most part it is.  But there are things you will have to keep in mind that are not easy.

These include:

  • Ph balance of the water in your fish tank.  Get this wrong and your fish will not live long.
  • Temperature of your water.  This can also be an issue for your fish.
  • Getting oxygenated air to your fish is covered also, having a power outage can impact your fish too.

They give you all the materials to build a aquaponic system and the video walks you step by step on how to assemble a very basic and simple system.

Here is a diagram of a the simple setup they will show you how to build.

They recommend you read the book first and then watch the video.  In the book they also go into each step and list the materials you will need to complete your aquaponic system.  I recommend you also watch the video before you go out and buy your material list as I missed a few items when I went to set mine up.

I have seen many different types of systems, some use rock or clay pebbles to grow the plants in and others they use foam or rubber type mats to grow the plants in.  This setup uses the foam floating mats on top of the water bed.   I am not partial to either and they both will work.  It just depends on your situation.

My Conclusion:

I hope you enjoyed my aquaponics 4 you review.  These plans were the first I had bought, the system is simple and will produce results.  Many of the choices you make will depend on the amount of space you have, plants you want to grow and the type of fish you are planning on raising.  I would recommend this to first time buyer who wants something simple and easy.  This product gets straight to the point and does not get fancy.  That is why it is the top selling aquaponic blueprint on the internet today.

Which program do you recommend?? aquaponics 4 you or the Easy DIY aquaponics? Your reviews show you bought both, but not which you would buy between the two.

If I had to choose, I would get the Easy DIY Aquaponics. It is easy to follow and the webpage they have put up is a great resource.
